Stress and anxiety are very common conditions in today’s society and will affect 1 in 3 of us at some point in our lives. It is a normal response when we are faced with new challenges and a small amount of stress can actually be useful; it can help us to focus the mind and give us motivation for what we need to do.
Stress becomes problematic when levels rise so much they become unmanageable leaving us feeling as though the stress has taken over. The mind and the body are very much linked so when we become stressed our immune system becomes less effective. We may suffer with various physical symptoms:
